Hydrophobic glasses
Hydrophobic glasses are eyeglasses that have received a chemical anti-fog coating. Hydrophobic lenses are treated with a soap-based coating, which works to repel and disperse moisture as it makes contact with the lens, eliminating the fogging effect on the lenses. While hydrophobic sunglasses and eyeglasses are effective at preventing the fogging effect in normal circumstances, the effectiveness is reduced in environments with a high level of moisture in the air, causing the soap-based coating to wash off over time.
